Natural Gas Contracts Analyst – Durango Midstream, The Woodlands, TX

Durango Midstream, a natural gas gathering and processing company with a corporate office in the Woodlands, TX, has an opening for a Contracts Analyst.  If you would like to learn and grow with a growth-oriented new company, come join our team!

This person will be part of the Commercial team and support the team’s work in Contract Development and Administration.

Primary Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Review contract language change requests and prepare customized contracts.
  • Drive enhancement of policies, procedures and business practices that improve efficiency within the contract administration function and the business.
  • Evaluate contracts for compliance to terms along with developing analytical tools and performing analysis from a commercial/contract compliance/renewal perspective.
  • Perform pricing contract evaluation in support of cost recovery.
  • Evaluate contracts to discover discrepancies that impact cost components such as capacity.
  • Ensure accurate and timely turnaround of contract acceptance and analysis
  • Review all inbound customer agreements and book deals into Company’s energy management system.
  • Responsible for margin analysis of all contracts for the commercial group.
  • Maintain contract integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business/analytical field of study (e.g. Business, Finance, Accounting), or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have at least 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Self-motivated, organized, analytical thinker with problem solving skills and an attention to detail.
  • Candidate must have a solid understanding of contract terms and energy markets
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, productive, and efficient.
  • Must be well-organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Excel, Word and Power Point skills.

Preferences:

  • Experience in the natural gas gathering and processing industry
  • Experience/familiarity with TIP QCM
